Ayam Panggang Halia

Senyum - senyum I buat entry kali ni.

Why?

Because recipe I am going to share to you all today is reminded me about the excitement of getting a new oven!!



First Oven I bought was about 7-8 years back. Hardly used, sitting nice in its box. Yep, UNPACKED. Until, I pregnant anak yg ke 3 about a year ago...well, it was fully utilised. A big YEAY as I feel like....I didnt waste it... It was just a small oven, but banyak jasanya. Ive been making lots of pies, biscuits..cakes. bla bla bla



Why new oven? I found some loyang tak muat masuk dalam oven yg ada ni. Extra some additional function will be better. A shopping-evil was giving me an idea that I should have a sligthly bigger and better than mine. So Jalan-Jalan Cuci Mata... I found, actually glance through a huge oven like 50lt capacity with a very good price. Then, I still 50-50 lagi nak beli..yela, fikir-fikir pun - bigger oven ni bukanla important sangat...I consider masih puas hati dengan oven yg lama...



So Balik rumah, I presume I could forget la about the HUGE oven tu... tengok2 I tak boleh tido malam! Haha. And another question pop out - what would I do with my old one? sell - do you think people would buy the 8 year old small oven? probably.but No-No...kesian kat orang yg beli tu nanti. Berapa la harga boleh laku pun. At last, I dengan murah hatinya, telah mengurniakan oven yg sentimental value tu ke adik iparku. She bake sometimes...so just pass it to her. Coincidently, she came to my house on that day itself. Dengan rasminya oven itu pun betukar tuan... Dalam hati, ah takpe. takde oven cuma sehari dua. esok-esok I borongla Huge Oven tu!



The next few days, I pun dengan hati kewajaan pergilah cari huge oven tu.

You know what happened next?

Betulla kata pujangga - Dont judge the book by its cover. Harapkan body je besar. function limited. Capacity rendah. comes with a Single tray! hmmmm....frustrated.



Dan bermulalah jelajah cari oven serata kedai. Cari punya cari....at last I stranded takde oven for about 2 weeks!! Sangat lah sedihnye......



But A new one is much better too....

Alhamdulillah....



Oklah - enough with cerita oven, here is the recipe of Ayam Panggang Halia yang I dah cuba sempena kelahiran oven baru. Rasanya sangatla menggiurkan. Highly recommended!

Ayam Panggang Halia

Bahan Utama:-
1 ekor ayam (saiz sederhana)
1 sudu besar kicap cair
1 sudu kecil gula
1 sudu besar minyak masak
garam secukup rasa

Bahan Kisar:-
4 inci halia
3 ulas bawang putih
3 ulas bawang merah (*akak letak 5 ulas)
1 sudu besar lada hitam (*akak letak 2 sudu kecil yg dikisar)
1 sudu kecil serbuk kunyit (*akak guna 2 cm kunyit hidup)
3 tangkai cili merah

Cara Memasak:-

  • Ayam dipotong 4 dan dibersihkan. Toskan. (*akak guna 4 ketul peha ayam saiz besar).
  • Gaulkan kesemua bahan kisar dan bahan utama, perapkan ayam selama beberapa jam (*akak perap 2 jam).
  • Kemudian susun ayam dalam loyang pembakar yang telah disapu minyak masak. (*akak tumis sekejap lebihan bahan perap dan masukkan ayam, masak hingga kuah agak pekat, ni kes nak cepat eh...)
  • Bakar dalam oven yang telah dipanaskan pada suhu 200 C selama 30 minit atau sehingga kelihatan garing. (*Akak guna api atas bawah selepas 15 minit pertama dan sambung bakar).
  • Hidangkan bersama salad dan timun. (Akak makan dengan Nasi Bukhari dan kari daging.)

Lumut Cake



Salam All.
Today, let me share one of my succeed experiment..Kek Lumut. Resepi asal dari Dayang. Tapi I found the recipe from Blog Masam Manis, Azlita Aziz...

Dah lama saya mengidam nak makan kek ni. Bukan sebab pernah rasa keenakannya sebelum ni. Tapi tertarik dengan ingredient yang ada dalam resepinya.
Banyak bahan-bahan best ada dalam tu. Jadi puzzle apalah rasanya...
Akhirnya terbuat jugak.
Result, Yes - Highly recommended. Memang sedap. Moist and milky
Lagi sedap kalau disejukkan dalam fridge. Sedapnya berganda-ganda...
Kiranya, Ini antara experiment yang berjaya lah ni. haha. Yang happy sangat tu sebab ini my first attempt buat kek jenis berkukus. Sebelum ni semua asyik bakar aje. Well, takes longer time to cook. But the end result was marvelous. Tak lah susah sangat nak kukus kek ni kan?
Anyhow, one word - Alhamdulillah.

KEK LUMUT

Bahan-bahan
( loyang 7 " x 7 ")
1 cawan tepung gandum ~ diayak
1 cawan horlicks
3/4 cawan gula halus
250 g mentega
4 biji telur A
pewarna hijau secukupnya
4 sudu besar seri kaya
1/4 cawan susu pekat manis
1 sk esen vanilla
 
 
  • Sediakan pengukus. Didihkan air. Griskan Loyang dgn mentega dan taburkan dgn sedikit tepung.
  • Pukul mentega bersama gula halus hingga kembang dan berkrim. Gunakan kelajuan maksima.
  • Masukkan telur sebiji dan pukul hingga sebati (guna speed sederhana). Kemudian, masukkan lagi sebiji telur dan pukul lagi. Ulangi proses ini sehingga habis.
  • Masukkan susu dan serikaya. Ratakan.
  • Masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit diselangselikan dgn horlicks dan gaulkan sebati.
  • Masukkan pewarna hijau dan esen vanilla. Sebatikan.
  • Tuangkan adunan ke dalam Loyang dan tutupkan dgn kertas foil.
  • Kukuskan selama 2 jam 30 minit. (tambah air panas jika hampir kering)

Meantime, Boleh jugak share info for those who read my blog kan?

For info,  I am not professional. Amateur? pun tak sampai lagi kot. As I do not cook on daily basis.
If my husband is around, He will be the busiest person in the kitchen. I jadi co-pilot saja.
Bukan malas tau, my husband ni rajin ke dapur...bila dia free. Rasa masakan dia pun boleh tahan! :D
Bukan perasan....RAMAI orang yang kata...hehe

So kalau tak masak on daily basis, what is Spatula's Report?
Hehe, I suka masak. Lebih tepat, I suka experimenting new recipes. Kekadang jadi. Sedaplah sangat. Kadang-kadang tak jadi tu, diam-diam lah jawabnya! . Every weekend, be it Saturday or Sunday, I will come out with 1 experiment. It just like a mini project over the weekend. Weekdays I dah start cari recipe and Implementing it during weekend. Kalau dah ketagih rasa, ulang siaran la jadinya...

And this Spatula's report is where I will jote down every experiments I have ever tried!
